• Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI): IUI or Artificial Insemination or Artificial Insemination using husband’s sperm (AIH) is a laboratory process where sperm is deposited close to the woman’s womb close to the time of ovulation. IUI is usually the first step in fertility treatment, once the natural methods have been ruled out.
• Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): ICSI is an assisted reproductive technique where in a single sperm is injected into the cytoplasm of the oocyte with the help of special micro-manipulators.
• In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): The process of IVF is a laboratory procedure where the egg is fertilized with the sperm in a laboratory dish in a sterile environment and is implanted into the woman’s uterus. This ensures fertilization outside the body, which results into an embryo. IVF is typically recommended for couples who have primary infertility due to underlying medical conditions. IVF can be done with donor egg or sperm too.
